BILSTEIN B6 shock absorbers for the DeLorean DMC-12

If you believe the Hollywood script writers, the world’s most famous time machine finally arrived in the ‘future’ on October 21st 2015. Today, it is but history. Doc Brown’s DeLorean DMC-12 may well be a scientific marvel, but it is probably in need of a shock absorber check – BILSTEIN advises one every 20,000 km.

A real DeLorean – not the legendary time machine – of course cannot simply jump 30 years ahead. Most suspension systems from these wing-door creations from 1981 or 1982 have been ‘restored’ at least once, or are due for a replacement at the very least. For this most important of tasks, the experts from Ennepetal have the improved OE replacement B6 shock absorber up their sleeves. This product, with its characteristic yellow color has extra absorbing power, higher performance reserves and an extra long lifespan – even under difficult conditions and in extreme situations. This will leave customers fully prepared for a journey through space and time – even a trip using their own four wheels.

Unfortunately, the ‘flux capacitor’ has still not been invented more than 30 years after the first installment of the ‘Back to the Future’ movie series, which means that we still cannot travel through time. Nevertheless, when it comes to asphalt-based travel, BILSTEIN has always been light years ahead. If a dyed-in-the-wool BILSTEIN fan were to teleport back in time, it would certainly choose one year earlier than Doc Brown and Marty McFly in the first part of the trilogy. This is because 1954 was the year the company originally developed their gas-pressure shock absorbers – the first company to do so in the world – and it would have been quite an experience to see it in the flesh.
